Tromler Construction - A Sacramento General Contractor: Looking Into Some New Deck Railing Ideas. There Are Some Cool Choices.

Looking Into Some New Deck Railing Ideas. There Are Some Cool Choices.

Deck railing can add value to a deck project in Sacramento.

I had been working on the replacement of a large deck project. Multi-level, elevated, stairs, and framing must be redone. We will likely go with a Trex decking, but I wanted to use something different to make it special. I think that the railings could be the answer to the uniqueness that I want.

What do you think of this type of railing?

I like it. Very functional while allowing an unobstructed view.

For me it would depend on the style of the house but I like the clean lines.

Hi Tom - I like the top one - it looks just like the railing John Travolta threw some bad guy over in Get Shorty, only the drop was steeper.

I think both of these are great choices.  They are sleek and modern and take very little away from the beauty of the view.  The trim can be flexible to match the color and character of the home.  Nice job.

Good point Paula. Will have to take that into consideration.

Okay Dick. I hope Shorty isn't the owner of the home.  :)

True Doug. The current railing is the wooden slates that hide most of the view if you are sitting in a chair.
