I was hoping to be able to get caught up in the office this week, but plans change. I have been getting a lot of calls for jobs with very short deadlines. I hear things like; “the move-in is tomorrow”, “water is leaking from the drain pipe upstairs”, or “can you get out here today”.
Now I’m not one to complain about being busy, I tend to draw those types of jobs. I have a reputation of getting things done that I have earned over the years. At first it was because I was young and full of energy, now I plan better and work efficiently.
The problem comes from not being able to run the business the way it needs to be run. I have set aside some time to get this corralled a bit better. There are only so many hours in the day; I need to balance those hours.
Oh, that reminds me; don’t forget to move your clocks forward this weekend.
